2. What is ?
LingQ is a fun, simple way to learn
languages from authentic, interesting
content. Learning the language from the
language itself, just as most children learn
their own language.

3. The Method
Steve Kaufmann Mark Kaufmann
LingQ uses a context based learning method which enables
natural learning through massive exposure to audio and text
content. All of LingQs lessons come with matching audio and
transcript and a powerful vocabulary learning engine and review
system. LingQ Co-founder Steve Kaufmann developed this
approach on his way to learning 16 languages.

4. Getting Started
When starting out,
beginners unlock their way
through a series of beginner
courses to get them started.
The courses are designed to
provide a strong foundation
in their new language.
5. The Reader
Course lessons are studied
in the Reader. Here users
can listen to the lesson
audio and read along in the
text. They can look up and
save blue (new) words and
review yellow (saved)
words or phrases.
7. The Lesson Feed
Once the beginner course is
completed users move on to
the Lesson Feed where they
can access recent lessons
and see a constantly
updated list of lessons
recommended by others.
These have been
recommended by other
users and graded by level.
8. Browse Library
Users can also browse a vast
library containing thousands
of hours of audio lessons
with matching transcripts.
Access to content of interest
at the user’s level is at the
core of LingQ.
9. Track Your Vocabulary

everything you do at
