Resource certification responsibilities include certification of family homes for the purpose of
providing foster care to children who require placement as a result of concerns surrounding
abuse and/or neglect. Duties include certification of the home in the SAFE home study format,
monitoring homes for compliance of Volume 7 requirements, assisting families with
community resources, training foster families and performing emergency kinship home
evaluations. Additional responsibilities to include supervision of the county group homes
licensed by the state to ensure compliance of state regulations.

Senior Social Caseworker August 2006 – June 2007
Juvenile Diversion Unit in Denver: Duties include intake and ongoing casework services for
families, adolescents and children involved with the department as a result of truancy,
delinquency and probation concerns surrounding contempt and court non-compliance
violations. Assisted families, parents and adolescents with referrals to community services
surrounding domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, day treatment, residential treatment,
MST services, mental health, gang prevention, as well as, coordination with clients involved
with DRP ankle monitor, probation, diversion and TASC services.
Caseworker for Douglas County: Prior to taking the position in Denver, I worked in Douglas
county performing intake and ongoing casework, as well as, on-call and crisis management for
children between the ages of birth and 12.
Denver Department of Human Services - Denver, Colorado
Senior Social Caseworker October 1995 –August 2001
Responsible for conducting a full range of intake casework services for families and children
involved with the department as a result of allegations surrounding abuse and neglect.
Consistently performed high and independent level of comprehensive psychosocial
assessment, in order to further provide provisions for therapeutic client services. This included,
but was not limited to investigation of alleged child abuse and neglect, crisis intervention,
family mediation, solution-focused interventions, parenting skills training, police
interventions, filing dependency and neglect petitions, testifying in court, assessment and
triage concerning out-of-home placement, home visits, placement of children, development
and implementation and management of case plans, and computer documentation of case plans
using Colorado Trails case management. Certified as an expert witness in Denver juvenile
courts in the areas of child protection casework, child abuse investigations and drug and
alcohol abuse.
