Linkedin is	becoming	more	like	facebook.
Facebook	started	as	the	personal	page	for	students	of	American	colleges.	LinkedIn	started	as	the
professional	page	for	their	parents.	With	market	caps	of	$58.78	billion and	$19.97	billion,
respectively,	it	is	clear	that	both	Facebook	and	LinkedIn	have	a	come	a	long	way	over	the	last	8-9
years.
But	what	have	they	become?	Why	do	you	log	into	each?
I	joined	Facebook in	2006	with	the	purpose	of sharing	jokes	with	my	friends,	and	I	joined	LinkedIn	in
2010	with	the	purpose	of	gaining	a	“serious”	job.	But	now	that	my	networks	have	developed –
there	is	a	lot	of	overlap	– my	friends	are	my	connections	and	connections	are	my	friends.
Today	the	truth	is	that	the average	age of	the	Facebook	user	is	40.5,	and	the	average	of	the	LinkedIn
user	is	44.	What	is	the	difference	between	what	a	40	year	old	and	a	44	year	old	talks	about? As
both	companies	approach	saturation	point	– solely	in	terms	of	number	of	American	users	– I
believe	we	are	seeing	a	deviation	to	the	mean	in	terms	of	content	shared	within	the	platforms.
Today,	there	are	three	reasons	I	log	into	each	Facebook	and	LinkedIn: news,	fun	&	meeting	people.
Skype	or	Google?”
That’s	a	line	remote	co-workers	often	ask	each	other	when	they	need	to	really	discuss	something,
face-to-face	or	at	least	orally.	But	later	this	year,	both	of	those	software	programs	could	find
themselves	sidelined	by	Slack.
The	makers	behind	the	chat	app	announced yesterday that	Slack	users	who	are	messaging	each
other	will	soon	be	able	to	have	a	voice	call	as	well,	and	eventually	a	video	call.	No	timeline	has
been	given	for	either	feature.
Slack’s	rapid	rise	has	already	made	it	a	darling	of	Silicon	Valley.	Just	a	year	after	its	launch,
investors	valued	the	business	chat	app	at	over	$1	billion.	It	was	pegged	at	$2.8	billion	as	of	last
April,	despite	annual	recurring	revenues	of	just	$25	million.	That	valuation	is	thanks	to	Slack’s	fast-
growing, devoted	customer	base,	which	has	skyrocketed	from	500,000	daily	active	users	in
January	2015	to	2.3	million	daily	active	users	today.
Linkedin is	losing	professionals-fast!
What's	unfortunate, is	that	Linkedin has	become	much	more	than	Facebook,	than	the	reverse.	It's
become	a	place	to	solve	math	problems, puzzles,	praise	the	lord,	discuss	erectile	dysfunction,
advertise	escort	services,	post	pictures	from	places	around	the	world,	sell	jewellery,	beauty
treatments,	and	the	list	goes	on	and	on.	It's	quite	sad	that	it's	morphed into	nothing more	than	a
social	playground for	adults	who	haven't	grown	up.
And	its	losing	stock	vaue as	a	result	of	it’s	social	presence!
(Reuters)	- LinkedIn	Corp	said	on	Wednesday	Chief	Executive	Jeff	Weiner	will	decline	his	2016
annual	stock	compensation	in	order	to	pass	it	on	to	his	employees	at	the	professional	social
network.
The	move	follows	LinkedIn's	disappointing first-quarter	revenue	and	profit	forecast	that	missed
Wall	Street	estimates	last	month	as	growth	slows	in	the	company's	ads	business	and	its	hiring
services	face	pressure	outside	North	America.
Up	to	Wednesday's	close	of	$119.6,	LinkedIn's	stock	had	dropped nearly	38	percent	since	its
results	on	Feb.	4.
S	a	a	s	a	y	is	a,	smart	not	social,	professional	business	app.It's an	all-in-one	communication
platform	for	professionals with	unique	user	and	impressive	features.	You	can	create	dedicated
chat	channels	for	different	issues,	projects	and	topics	that	can	be	shared	with	the	entire
network	through r	e	a	c	h.	Apart	from	regular	text,	you	use	r	e	f	I	n	e	and	share	audio,	video,
files,	presentations	and	your	resources	on	popular	cloud	storage	services.	Its	advanced	search
mechanism	can	easily	mine	out	useful	conversations	relying	on	context	instead	of	plain
keyword	search.	You	can	also	use	its	powerful and	handy	autocomplete	feature	to	speed	up
your	conversations	and	link	and	sync	your	network.	While	using	it	from	multiple	devices,	you
can	find	all	your	conversations	synced and	experience	fluid	access	and	delivery.
r a	d	a	r	I	s	e	informs	your	network	who,	where	and	what	you	are	looking to	achieve	and	will
also	autolocate opportunities and	sync	with	your	profile	settings.
It's	made	for	developers	and	programmers	with	a	powerful	free	plan.	With	full	Markdown
support	including syntax	highlighting, you're	equipped with	all	the	features	to	easily	converse
about	and	share	your	code	snippets.	It	can	tightly	integrate	itself	with	dozens	of	useful
services	and	tools	used	by	developers	around	the	globe-it’s	syncing	as	a	service	and	you.
The	Social	&	Chat	App	model	is	failing.
The global business	of	messaging,	including the traditional	SMS	business	of	carriers and	free	texting	from
over-the-top	players	like	WhatsApp,	is	set	to	shrink	over	the	next	few	years, from	$113.5	billion	in	2014	to
$112.9	billion	in	2019,	according	to Juniper	Research,	a	market-research	firm	based	in	Basingstoke,	England.
Chat traffic	will	meanwhile	triple on	messaging apps	to 100	trillion	messages	in 2019. ”Revenues	won’t	grow
at	the	same	pace,”	writes	Juniper	analyst	Lauren	Foye in	a	recent	report	on	the	future	of messaging app.
In	a	nutshell,	lots	of	chat	traffic	doesn’t	directly	translate	to lots	of	revenue,	and	that	will	continue	to	be	the
case	for	the	next	few	years.
The	irony	is	that	modern-day	chat	apps	which	disrupted	the	SMS	businesses	of	carriers	by	running on	top	of
their	infrastructure	— and	eclipsed	the	global	number	of	SMS’s	being	sent	around	the	world	in
2012 with their own	free-message	traffic	– are	being	similarly	exploited	by	their	own	users.
So	is	s	a	a	s	a	y	a	business	tool	or	a	professional	chat	app?
s a	a	s	a	y	is	unique	it	is	a	premium	service	for	the	business	professional	….let	me	explain.
There	are	2	types	of	linkedin user,	free	and	premium- and	there	is	a	reason	why.
Free	users	are	on	looking	for	their	next	job	and	premium	users	are	looking	to	seriously	expand	their	network
AND	look	for	their	next	job	or	better	still	acquisition.	You	can	glean	a	lot	of	useful	due	diligience	using	these
existing	platforms	and	position	your	next	career	and	business	move.
In	addition	we	will	also	give	our	premium	users	revenue	based	on	their	followers-this	works	because	the
majority	of	job	seekers,	next	Branson’s	&	career	minded	professionals, want	to	progress-it’s	embedded in
their	culture	and	mind	set.
They	will	not	only	follow	high	profile	successful	entrpreneurs, they	will	follow	MD’s,CEO’s,Sales	Directors,
managers	etc	in	their	attempt	to	glean	and	gain	their	next	advantage.
People	follow	people	they	want	to	be	like,	it	is	simple,	and	we	reward	not	only	them	with	great	information
and	insights	but	the	leaders	they	follow	with	revenue	and	exposure.
We	will	of	course	follow	other	traditional	revenue	streams	but	we	will	charge	for	it.	Take	a	look	at	what	other	companies
can’t	charge	&	can’t	provide	to	service	because	they	are	purely	social.
