2. About Angaya
My name is Kevin Angaya. I am currently working with
AFEW (K) - Giraffe Centre. I have 3 years experience of con-
tant making and Social Media marketing. All the three years, I
have been working with Giraffe Centre.
Giraffe Centre is an environmental, non profit organisation
that funds itself through tourism. The proceeds from tourism
are then used in environmental conservation activities such as
funding other organisations with environmental conservation in
mind, fund school projects that promote conservation of envi-
ronment among other activities. My responsibility is to bring
to our online community to the knowledge that we are not just
a tourism centre. Instead the proceeds from tourism are used
to fund environmental conservation activities around Country
Kenya.
I am graduate of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and
Technology (JKUAT- Juja) with a bachelors degree in Business
Information Technology. I then had a previledge of undergo-
ing a course on “Suceeding at Social Care” hosted by Nendo
Founder and Manager, Mr. Mark Kaigwa, Which helped me in-
tergrate my computer and photography skills with social media,
Website, content creation and management.
I currently manage all the Giraffe Centre internet property ie: Face-
book page, Twitter handle, Instagram, Website Blog, Google My
Business.
All the contents in the pages are run by me. That means, I collect in-
formation from my collegues of their day to day, come up with a way
to communicate that is, who is to get, how can it reach them and how
it can reach them. Then I get the photos and or videos, links and tags
needed for the article, then post them to the relevant pages or sites.
