The lord will fight your battles !
1. The Lord Will Fight Your Battles!
“I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Je-
hoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account
of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the
nations; They have also divided up My land.” Joel 3:2 (NKJV).
There is some important in-
sight we need to glean from this
portion of the scripture.
1) „I will also gather all nations‟
Everything that happens under
the sun is not by accident. It
could ether be the orchestration of
God himself or it might have di-
vine dimension with the sole pur-
pose of achieving the plan and
purposes of God.
2. 2) „Valley of Jehoshaphat‟
"Here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out
of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. "O
our God, will You not judge them? 2 Chron. 20:11-12
3) „I will enter into judgment with them there.‟
God assures his people that He will
defend them. God will judge those
who violate His Will and purposes. As
a child of God; when faced with the
uncertainties find your hanger
(support) in the Word of God. God
commanded Joshua, "This Book of the
Law shall not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may ob-
serve to do according to all that is written in it. For then you
will make your way prosperous, and then you will have
good success.” Joshua 1:8 –NKJV
3. 4) ‘ On account of My people’
Although God created all people and love them; there are
His covenant people (chosen, who have entered a covenant
with Him) that have a special place in Him. God is never dis-
criminative but He just allows things to happen His way know-
ing that in the final analysis all His creation will be elevated.
That is why we should never envy others when they receive
their breakthroughs. We should know that ours is on the way
and in God’s timing we shall receive it.
5) ‘My heritage Israel‟
Whoever robs the people of God
of what is rightly theirs robs God.
'You will not need to fight in this
battle” 2 Chron. 20:17 (NKJV).
Leave everything in God’s hand and
you will see his salvation. Never be
cowed by the raging of the sea.
4. The enemy attacked David and his men at Ziklag when he
was facing one of the greatest battles of his life. God did not
forsake him at this hour of need. Just go straight to Him. It is
written David encouraged himself in the Lord. Be assured of
His help at your hour of need. (Please read 1 Samuel. 30.)
6) Whom they have scattered among the nations.
Any atrocities committed against
God’s people will never go unpun-
ished. We all need to be careful
about our behaviour, attitudes and re-
sponses towards the anointed people
of God. Those who blesses Abraham
(People of faith, Covenant people)
are blessed!
5. 7)They have also divided up My land.
God has a special place he calls ‘My land’. According to
Psalms 24: 1 The earth is the LORD'S, and all its fullness, The
world and those who dwell therein. God is concerned how an
inheritance is shared. Whoever divides land must seek God’s
help to avoid HIs wrath.
6. The promise that God gave to
Abraham (our father in faith)
still stands. This is what God
declares: “I will bless those
who bless you, And I will
curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of
the earth shall be blessed."
Gen. 12:3. Any person connected to Abraham should seek to
be a blessing wherever they are. The Lord Jesus Christ shows
the way and he is himself the Way, the Truth and Life. There-
fore you can begin this journey of becoming a blessing through
being connected to Him by faith. (NKJV).
