Facebook Live
for the direct selling #bosslady.
A refresher: What is Facebook Live?
• The “best way” to interact with viewers in real time, allows you to:
• Field a prospect’s burning questions
• Hear what's on their mind
• Review their Live Reactions to gauge how your broadcast is going
• Instant connectivity
• Followers will get a notification when you “Go Live”
• Facebook recommends you stay live for at least 10 minutes to get
more viewers, but you can stay live for up to 90 minutes
• Help you reach news audiences
• Users can watch from the dedicated platform or Newsfeed
Location, location…
• Decide where you want to “go live” from
• On your personal Facebook profile
• On your Celadon Road Facebook Business Page
• In a group
• In an event
• Keep in mind that if you choose to do your party on your Facebook
Business Page, you will be able to edit the video, download, and
share it as well as view insights on the videos performance
The content matters
• Treat “going live” like the presentation portion of an in-home party
• Use it for special announcements like:
• New customer and hostess specials
• Step-by-step tutorials for how to use XYZ product
• Personal testimonials and product reviews
• To live stream yourself at a trade show, craft show, etc.
• Remember people want to know you do more than sell, show them:
• How to make your favorite recipe
• A tour of your home office or favorite creative space
• Your self care ritual using Celadon Road products
Ready to “Go Live”?
1. Choose a great title
• It shows up in the Newsfeed, make it compelling so folks want to join!
2. Make sure you have good internet signal
• WiFi is preferred so that your video runs smoothly
3. Use a tripod or selfie stick
4. Speak slowly and clearly
• In the event that your video lags, this allows someone to catch up
5. There may be a delay in comments
• Users typically report a 5-second delay, so keep a watchful eye
Step-by-step
we’ll walk through it together.
Let’s walk through the process
• Step 1: Go to your own Facebook profile OR personal Celadon
Road business page and open up the status bar as if you were
going to write a new post.
Remember, you MUST be on a mobile device!
• Tap the “Live” icon, which looks like a human silhouette on your
personal page or a camera on your business page
Personal Page
Business Page
Give Facebook access
• Step 3: When prompted, give Facebook access to your camera
and microphone, here are some of the screebs you may see:
Preparing your live video
• Step 4: Press the blue “Continue” button on the introductory page,
you will then see:
Choose privacy
settings & describe
what your live video
will be about…
A few things to remember…
• If you are “going live” from your personal Celadon
Road business page you will want to be public;
unless hosting a limited audience party
• Write a compelling description
• Before clicking “Go Live” make sure your camera is
pointing in the direction you want, you can rotate
this as needed
• Don’t forget to save the video to your Camera Roll!
Tips for putting on an A+ performance
• Welcome people by name
• Repeat your website URL, ordering instructions and incentives
• Be prepared for possible hiccups, handle them calmly
• Follow-up
• Keep in touch with everyone who came, ordered or even just “hung
out” for a bit
• Do not immediately friend request everyone who joined, but certainly
invite and encourage them to connect with you
