• Contracted back to the Galmoy Mine site as part of the demolition crew,
• Work involved decommissioning and the stripping down of the mill plant for packing and shipping
to Australia,
• For 8 months I was charge hand of a small team looking after the maintenance and upgrade of the
Water Treatment plant ,

• During this time I was unemployed, but I kept myself busy completing small welding and fabricating
projects.
Aug 2008- July 2009
Position Held- Underground Maintenance Fitter / Fabricator.
At Galmoy Zinc & Lead Mine.
• Upon my return from Australia I continued my employment in Galmoy Mines Ltd with the
underground maintenance team,
• I had the same role and tasks as before my time in Australia but also maintenance of the jaw crusher,
rock breaker, vibration feeders and conveyor gearbox equipment, Repairs and maintenance
to On-site vehicles and Loaders
• Call out system and shift work was in use.
• I was made redundant of this position in July 2009 due to the Mine ceasing production.

process’s to name a few
• Maintenance and installation of steel and plastic pipe work, launders, and structural steel
• Safe practice with chemicals and working with hydraulic machines and heavy vehicle’s.
• Completed courses on tele porter, forklift, bobcat and cherry picker driving
• Completed courses in first aid, abrasive wheels and harness, confined space entry including escape
breathing apparatus and manual handling
• Had the responsibility of carrying out risk assessment tasks on a regular basis, had call out system

Hobbies & Interests
I have a keen interest in a wide range of sports such as Soccer, Hurling, Rugby, MMA and boxing.
I also like to keep fit by playing racquetball and hurl ball, soccer, cycling and going to the gym.
Other hobbies include hillwalking and outdoor activities with my family, Car servicing and problem solving, listening to
music and current affairs. I am also a former member of the Irish Reserve Defence Forces, which I believe gave valuable
experience of being an efficient team player and also the importance of quality leadership.
