Since the late 1990s Heatherwick has
emerged as one of Britain's most significant
designers. Heatherwick works with a team of
around 180 architects, designers and makers
from a studio and workshop in King's Cross,
London.

“I don’t have a single philosophy of the world that
is a mono-approach. everything around us is
designed — everything so having something that
changes and evolves and has its own life and its
own seasons is a balance to the manmade.”

Based at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire, just 15
miles from Winchester and 10 miles from Basingstoke,
the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is in a conservation
area with over 1000 years of history.
UK Pavilion, Shanghai World Expo 2010
colloquially known as the Seed Cathedral, was a
sculpture structure built by a nine-member
conglomeration of British business and government
resources. is an enclosure that throws outwards from
all sides, a mass of long radiating cilia. the centerpiece
of the pavilion is the seed cathedral, a six storey high
cube-like structure, pierced by approximately 60 000 x
7.5m long slim transparent acrylic rods which sway
gently in response to any wind movement.
