EOPS helps to provide support services to students who face economic, language, and
social barriers and who are historically under-represented in higher education.
EOPS’s goal is to support and enable EOPS students’ successful pursuit of a higher
education through a comprehensive program of services.
Key Achievements:
o I am able to mentor, uplift, encourage students, while proving support as a
strong role model.
o Conduct orientations and serve as a student liaison.
o Serve as a link between the students, counselors and coordinators.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
I am motivated by and interested in human behavior and helping others to achieve

As a Peer Adviser in the EOPS/CARE program at Merritt College, I find my strengths
in assisting students that are educationally and socioeconomically disadvantaged.
Nothing completes me more than having the ability to support and enable
EOPS/CARE students in their pursuit of a higher education.
