Karol Jersak teaches mixed media art workshops and classes for children of all ages and abilities. Their classes focus on independently and collaboratively creating paintings, collages, and sculptures using a variety of materials and techniques. Students work on theme-based projects exploring nature, landscapes, personal interests, and goals to develop self-expression, problem-solving skills, and learn how to set and achieve goals. Classes aim to keep students engaged through impromptu and long-term art projects, group activities, and exhibitions of their work.
1. Mixed Media Art Workshops and Classes for Kids
Art Instructor Karol Jersak
“Art projects for Kids give playful tools that build confidence and promote self-
directed goals in their life”.
I have experience teaching art classes for children of all ages and abilities
including special needs. Activities include painting, collage, mixed media painting
and sculpture.
My classes for mixed media are a fun way for children to work on projects
independently or collaboratively in groups. They will be learning how to apply a
variety of materials, textures and compositions on canvass and sculpture. My
projects include creating collage and vision boards that explore their personal
interests. Children learn to express and work toward clear and visiblegoals to
enjoy and play with. Each student will enjoy the experience and inspiration of
critical thinking to create their own masterpieces. The lesson plans are theme
based, such as nature, landscapes, personalinterests, goals and words that
express their passions in life. The focus is to keep students engaged by learning
impromptu and long term art projects.
As well I usevideos to show question and answer games that help children mix
with each other. The goal of this lesson plan is for students to learn how to share
and work together on artwork of similar interests. Italso gives them a great
opportunity to learn about their fellow students by working in teams. Exhibitions
of art work will be displayed throughouttheir sessions.
Interesting art projects provides children a comprehensiveway to sharepersonal
interests and enjoy working in groups.
Through art, children learn to develop self-expression, problemsolving, setting
goals and seeing a process of accomplishment and pride.
