This document provides information about Tableau Sets. It defines Sets as custom fields used to create subsets of data based on conditions. It includes steps to create a Top 10 Products Sold set using a bar graph of Product Name and Sales from a Superstore data set. Sets are created in the Sets section below Measures and allow users to select data that is 'IN' or 'OUT' of the set. Combined sets operations like intersections and differences between sets are also discussed.
8. Create a Bar graph using ‘Product Name’ and
‘Sales’. Sort the data in descending order and label it
by clicking ‘T’ icon in toolbar.
Select top 10 values in the graph using ‘Ctrl’ key. On
dragging over the selected data, a dialogue box will
appear.
Select the icon that says ‘Create Set…’ . Again a
dialogue box will appear. Name this as ‘Top 10
Product sold’ and click ‘Ok’.
A new section called ‘Sets’ is created just below the
‘Measures’ section and under it ‘Top 10 Product sold’
field is added.
