2. MAIN STEPS
1) Dumping of reaction mass
2) Mother Liquor removal / Pressurization
3) Slurry Wash 1, 2
4) Solvent Removal / Pressurization
5) Slurry Wash 3
6) Solvent Removal / Pressurization and Pressing
7) Unloading of wet cake

3. CONTROLS OF ANF
 POWER PACK ON / OFF SWITCH
 BY THIS SWITCH POWER PACK IS STARTED, FROM
WHICH AGITATOR VERTICAL MOVEMENT AND WET
CAKE UNLOADING VALVE MOVEMENT CAN BE DONE.CAKE UNLOADING VALVE MOVEMENT CAN BE DONE.
 AGITATOR PRESSING MODE / SCRAPPING
MODE
 AGITATOR UP-DOWN SWITCH
 WET CAKE UNLOADING SWITCH

4. CHECK POINTS BEFORE START-UP
 There should not be any oil leakage from power pack
(hydraulic system).
 Pneumatic test is taken before slurry dumping
 Car-seal Open (CSO – Always Open) Valve is open and
handle is removed.
 ML filter is cleaned and assembled.
 ML Tank is having sufficient space.
 Sampling system and Sampler/sample bag etc are
ready.

5. IDLE POSITION OF ANF
 Condition: Empty
 Agitator at upper condition
 All valves are closed condition

6. 1. DUMPING OF REACTION MASS
 Condition: Dumping
 Take agitator at lower limit
 Open slurry inlet valve and ML outlet
valve
 Start dumping of the reaction mass
 Start agitator in Scrapping mode
 Slowly lift agitator during dumping
 After dumping take agitator at
N2
 After dumping take agitator at
above the wet cake surface
 Stop agitator

7.  Condition: ML removal
 Open N2 inlet valve and ML outlet
valve.
 Control N2 pressure as per
instruction.
 Take sample from side sampling valve
if required.
2. MOTHER LIQUOR REMOVAL /
PRESSURIZATION

if required.

8. 3. SLURRY WASH
 Condition: Slurry preparation
 Open cake washing inlet valve, vent
valve of shall and vent valve of ML
chamber. Ensure that ML outlet valve is
closed.
 Start agitator in anticlockwise
direction and slowly pull down.

9. 3. SLURRY WASH
Keep continue agitator in slurry for
15-30 min.

15-30 min.
 After slurry wash lift the agitator
above the wet cake / liquid surface

10. 4. SOLVENT REMOVAL / PRESSURIZATION AND
PRESSING
 Condition: Solvent removal
 Open N2 inlet valve and ML outlet
valve. Close all other valves.
 Control N2 pressure as per
instruction
 Start agitator in pressing mode
 Pull down agitator and press wet
cake slowly.

11. 5. UNLOADING OF WET CAKE
 Condition: Wet cake unloading
 Close N2 valve and ML outlet valve
and release pressure . Close all other
valves.
 Open wet cake outlet valve and make
arrangements for cake unloading
Start agitator in cutting mode and
slowly down it.
 Cut the wet cake slowly and dump it

 Cut the wet cake slowly and dump it
through wet cake unloading valve.
After wet cake unloading, close
hydraulic valve and take pneumatic test
of ANF.
