To Whom it May Concern:
In my search for a marketing intern for summer 2015, I sent my request to The University of Kansas
first as I’ve always been impressed with those I’ve met from within the University. The request
was sent and within one day, I received a phone call from Kale requesting to be the person for this
position.
At the end of our initial conversation, I hired Kale immediately. I found that his demeanor and
tenacity for this position was above and beyond anyone else I had interviewed. He had done his
homework on our company and asked intelligent questions regarding the position and my
expectations.
Kale’s first day was definitely a full day. I was unable to spend a great deal of time with him in
giving direction but that wasn’t a problem for him to complete some tasks. It was a great feeling
being able to give someone as little direction as I did and see them exceed my expectations. His
daily direction and focus helped complete many tasks before their due date. He was even willing
and able to take on new tasks and create some ideas of his own.
I feel Kale would be a great addition to any company that would hire him. Not only is he well
spoken, but is unafraid to ask questions and make some judgment calls on his own. That speaks
volumes to his ability to take charge of a project and understand direction for the successful
outcome.
