I am writing to offer my personal recommendation on behalf of Melissa Freeland. I have
known Melissa since early 1999, when I hired her as an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the
Credit Department of Mr. Gasket Company. In December 1999 Melissa was promoted to
the position of Credit Analyst, the position she holds at the time of this letter.
I have worked closely with Melissa for more than a year, and have had many opportunities
to review her work and to observe her performance in the workplace. During that time we
relocated our facilities to a new building, and also changed computer systems.
I understand Melissa is exploring alternative job opportunities, and I would not hesitate to
recommend her to a prospective employer.
Melissa is a bright, energetic individual who gets along well with others. She has a pleasant
personality, and she has good written and verbal communication skills. Melissa is a hard
worker, and she is willing to go the extra mile to finish a project. She is a fast learner, and
she does not hesitate to ask questions when necessary. Melissa has shown a willingness to
help her coworkers complete their assignments. She is neat and well-organized.
Melissa has had experience in accounts receivable and credit (both with Mr. Gasket) and
also in accounts payable from a prior employer. I found that her experience in the accounts
payable function was an asset in her work in the accounts receivable area and also helped
her to understand customer needs as a Credit Analyst at Mr. Gasket.
