I have worked with Kailah for almost two years as her supervisor. I have been fortunate to witness her
work as a teacher in our Science department and as our head swim coach. Kailah is a fine teacher with a
well-balanced, solid background in all content areas. As a teacher she embraces professional learning
communities, data-driven instruction and continuous improvement. Kailah's lessons imbed opportunities
for students to use higher level thinking skills, differentiated options of products for students to show
evidence of learning, and secures a high level of participation from her students through student
collaboration. She has a strong ability to individualize the curriculum to meet the needs of all levels of
students in the classroom and strongly believes that all children can learn. She demands excellence from
her students and they rise to her high standards because they know she cares and will always support
them when they are struggling. Kailah genuinely cares for each student and she teaches students ethical
principles, hard work and kindness for each other.
Kailah has been asked to teach classes that she had not previously taught and did this without complaint
or reservation. She came in and worked well with the other teachers that taught these courses and
became a valuable member to the team. One of Kailah's greatest strengths is her willingness to take on
new challenges and strives for excellence. Kailah is a high energy, self-starter who quickly assumes
responsibility and is not afraid to face new challenges and situations. She is willing to accept feedback and
uses the input to be continuously improving.
Kailah has been a person that I can rely on in times of need and has a strong drive to not only do things
right, but also do the right things.
Kailah has always been open to learning and growing as a professional and to take on new challenges. As
the principal of Rouse High School, I highly recommend Kailah for admission to your program. I assure
