5. 1. MISSION
• A. Spiritual books
• Adventist Book Centers to stock mission-
oriented books (doctrinal books). The
publishing committees and annual
councils to address the abundant supply
of spiritual books alongside other books.
• “Our workers should now be encouraged
to give their first attention to books that
deal with evidence of our faith-books
that teach the doctrines of the Bible and
that will a prepare people to stand in the
trying times before us.” 9T61
6. • B. New LE recruiting and training
• Every union to keep increasing the number
of workers and meet its goal for 2025 (Full
Time/Part Time/Students)
• LEs to be thoroughly trained before being
given permission to begin canvassing
7. • C. Membership involvement in publishing ministry
• Church members sharing names of acquaintances
and friends to PDs/APDs for follow-ups with LE
visits
• All members to share the book of the year : One
member one book per quarter (A minimum of 4
books per year: Thus, a union of 20,000 members
distributes 80,000 books to 80,000 souls).
• Every church a book distribution center (Every non-
Adventist visitor goes with a book every Sabbath).
8. • D. Clergy involvement in publishing work
• Ministers help to identify and recruit new
workers
• Ministers help to mentor LEs
• Ministers coordinate and promote book of the
year distribution by members during
evangelistic campaigns and other church events
• Special recognition to be rendered to pastors
whose churches are active in publishing work
9. 2. SPIRITUAL GROWTH
• A. LE Bible Conferences
• Considering the need for
spiritual growth among LEs
and their involvement in Bible
studies with clients, there is
need to conduct Bible
Conferences in every union.

b. Homiletics
c. Old Testament and
New Testament
Backgrounds
d. Adventist
fundamental beliefs
e. Daniel and Revelation
11. • B. Reading Seminars
• Realizing the downward trend
for reading spiritual books
among members and the need
to arouse interest for reading
books, reading seminars shall
be conducted for members.
• For this program to be realized,
the publishing department
shall work hand in hand with
the education department.
12. • C. SOP Books
(availability/translation/promotion)
• Books by Ellen G. White improve interest
in the study of the Bible and have the
power to establish believers in the faith.
• The ABCs shall ensure that an average of
ten (10) titles by E. G. White are in stock
at every given time. The conflict series
shall be promoted for every Adventist
household.
• Every union shall identify the priority
books to translate in the selected
languages of its territory

(LEKA)
• Realizing the need for the LE
children to remain in the
faith, every union is
encouraged to establish a
LEKA.
• There is need to come up
with a LEKA manual
• There is need for union
LEKA retreats/seminars
every three years

programs/promotions at every
major church event
• Realizing the need for members
to appreciate the role of books
for spiritual growth and
witnessing, it is recommended
that the publishing work be
promoted in all major church
events such as Women Ministries,
Dorcas, AMO, and Youth
congresses, camp meetings, etc.

LEADERSHIP
A. LMS Programs
• The Literature Ministry Seminary exists in the
church for professional training of Literature
Evangelists and Assistant Publishing Directors
• Every union has the responsibility of
developing career literature evangelists
• One of the best ways to do this is to offer an
academic training for its literature evangelists.
• Unions to work towards developing a
professional training that will be recognized by
both the church and the education systems.
The Education Department to provide
guidance.
• APD refresher courses shall be held at union
level biannually

18. C. Crosspollination
• Conferences and unions are
encouraged to take
benchmarking visits to
conferences and unions that
are performing better than
themselves in identified areas
such as ABC, full time LE work,
student LE program, LE
remuneration, etc.
