☑ Emergency Handling: Challenges!Upon learning of Nepal’s earthquake (4/26/15), assigned an
emergency project by the supervisor—due to my trustworthiness and professionalism—to fly to Nepal to
report the news; however, a limited number of planes were going to Nepal then. Actions!Spent the
entire night browsing countless websites and proactively used personal network to get the earliest ticket
to Nepal while trying to contact a local referred by friends beforehand to settle accommodations.
Results!Successfully arrived in Nepal and sent the first on-site news within 24 hours—the FIRST
Taiwanese journalist (other Taiwanese media arrived there on 4/28) to report this earthquake news.
☑ Award-winning Content: Proposed doing stories about Singapore’s cultural & creative industry.
Flew to Singapore, and introduced the topic from diverse aspects i.e., talent, hardware, marketing,
government policy, by interviewing its award-wining directors, experiencing leading fusion restaurants,
and discovering the thought process behind marketing combination (Singapore and China Airline).
Spent 5 weeks collecting, analyzing, and writing news, successfully defeating nationwide counterparts
(11.1%) through the in-depth content—company’s first cultural & creative award.
☑ Aviation News: Went to the U.S. to uncover pilot training with a focus on its safety, attention to
detail, and strict rules—4 news stories; flew to Dubai to learn about Emirate Airline’s 5-star service
training i.e., dress codes, lifesaving training, service methodology—3 news stories; went to Singapore to
discover Changi Airport’s secret behind its long-lasting #1 international airport rating—from staff
