1. SOME INFRASTRUCTURE IMPLEMENTATION
I supervised the design and implementation of a Tier 3 Advanced Metering Infrastructure Data
Centre. I participated fully in designing and building the Data Centre
Worked with the IT team and played a major role to acquire IE’s public IP subnet and ASN from
Afrinic
Designed and successfully implemented GBP (multihoming) with two service providers using
IE’s public IP block and ASN, for active/active & redundant internet connectivity to the AMI
Data Centre
Designed and implemented the network, security and communication infrastructure for the AMI
platform Data Centre
I manage and maintain the AMI DC infrastructure including server infrastructure, storage,
cooling, network and security, access control, communication and FM200 fire suppressant
system
Successfully designed and implemented Meters – to – Platform communication solution for the
AMI system using M2M technology. I utilized the same infrastructure to provide connectivity for
IE’s Undertaking Offices and backup connections for selected users in Business Units
Worked with EMC consultants to implement initial setup and configuration of VNX5600
production storage. I later completed the configuration and did the entire setup and configuration
of the backup storage VNXe3200, configured the SAN fabric and connected the backup media to
the storage
Setup new vending servers for High Availability using VMware Cluster on the new production
storage (VNX5600). I expanded and configured the storage, configured the SAN and connected
the servers.
I worked with severalintegrators to provide connectivity hence expanding IE’s payment
channels
Deployed Blackberry Enterprise Server 5 & 12 for Enterprise Mobility Management and led a
team to activate all mobile devices (Blackberry and Android) on the BES platform.
I designed and supervised severalLAN project implementation and integration at the Head
Office and Business Units
