Perimeter insulation
Foundations to be 1:2:4 mix (cement, sharp sand, 20mm
aggregregate) with slump well
compacted and in layers and levelled. Drains passing through
foundations to be seperated
from concrete to allow movement.
Excavations are to be dug to a minimum depth of 1m and to atleast the depth of the existing
foundations and below the invert level of adjacent drains. Any trees, whether young, mature or removed
within the last 12 years, that are within 30m of the proposed site may effect the final depth of the foundation.
Final depths of excavations to be approved by a building control surveyor prior to placing concrete.
