1. SURVIVAL TIPS
Create a
workspace.
Stick to a
schedule.
BROUGHT TO YOU BY
Set a schedule and stick to it as
much as possible. This means not
only do you get up and start working
at the same time you normally
would, but also that you take
adequate breaks!
As tough as it is to get out of your
warm bed in the morning, it can be
just as hard to avoid over-working.
Set expectations.
Let your supervisor and your team
know when, and how often, you plan
to check in with them. Explain to your
spouse or roommate when and where
you'll need quiet time. Set rules for
the kids during working hours.
Whatever you can establish ahead of
time, do so.
Keep in touch.
Working remotely can get lonely,
especially if you aren't used to it.
Make sure you connect with your
colleagues regularly - phone and
video calls are great for those who
need a more personal touch.
And don't forget to call a friend or
family member when you're done!

Get dressed, comb your hair, and sit
down at your workstation on time! It
makes a big impact on your day and
helps to put you in the right
mindset for getting things done.
Plus, it just feels good to maintain
the normalcy of a routine.
Act like you're at
the office.
Maybe you already have a home
office set up. If so, great! If not, don't
worry. Choose a space in your home
that you'll dedicate to working in.
Keep everything you'll need in the day
close at hand; and when you aren't in
that space, you aren't at work.
