1. Royal Bank of Scotland, Central London September 2015 – Current Date
Contracted to Royal Bank of Scotland (“RBS”) as a Change Analyst working on the ‘Williams &
Glyn’ project. This project was initiated to enable RBS to divest itself of its 300+ RBS branded
branches in England & Wales, and its NatWest branches in Scotland, by the end of 2017. The
divested parts of the business were to be moved into a new ‘stand-alone’ bank to be named
‘Williams & Glyn’ (“W&G”).
The transition from RBS to W&G was scheduled to take place over a two-week cutover period
and the various areas of the Business had prepared approx. 80 separate schedule of events
(“SoE”) documents detailing the tasks that needed to be undertaken, when these tasks needed to
be done, how long they were expected to take, who would do them and most importantly whether
there were any dependencies on other areas of the Business, or on Technology Services.
Working as a member of the Central Implementation Team I was required to;
Assist with organising and running regular sessions with the various Business teams to
review their SoE documents.
Capture updates and actions out of these sessions.
Process SoE updates back into a consolidated master view.
Produce extracts of the master lists to support these review sessions.
Analyse the SoE documents to identify opportunities, errors, risks and issues etc.
Transform the SoE documents to allow the data to be loaded into RBSs chosen
deployment tool, ICEFLO, (supplied by Agenor Technology).
Assist with organising and running sessions with the Technology Services team to review
(and match) dependencies between the Business and Technology SoE documents.
Update ICEFLO to link matched Business to Business, or Business to Technology
external dependencies.
