2. Inspiration
My inspiration for becoming a record producer
would have to come from the first time I had ever
stepped foot into a recording studio. I have
always been fascinated by music in general, the
way it makes you feel, the passion and emotion
you can feel within the instruments or vocals but
mostly the way it’s created and how you can
make something so powerful that has so much
meaning behind it, this has always had me
intrigued towards learning more about what’s
behind the scenes in the creation of music itself.
3. Creation
In November of 2006 my
band, Counterbalance, reached out to a local
recording engineer named John Nikolosi hear in
Clarksville Tennessee to record our first EP as a
band. We had only been playing together for
about 3 months and really had no idea as to
where to start on recording, merchandise, gigs or
anything of that nature, things kind of just fell into
place as we progressed.
4. Creation
We met with John shortly after contacting him
about what we wanted to do with our music. One
evening me and my band members pulled up to
his personal studio in downtown Clarksville to
start our journey towards success as a band that
had big ambitions and little money to spare. Little
did I know things came more into perspective for
me as soon as I stepped in the door of the
studio.
