25. Periodisation
Periodisation is the systematic planning of athletic or physical training.[1] The aim is to
reach the best possible performance in the most important competition of the year.[2]
It involves progressive cycling of various aspects of a training program
during a specific period.
Conditioning programs can use periodisation to break up the training program
into the off-season, preseason, in-season, and the postseason.
Periodisation divides the year-round condition program into phases of training
which focus on different goals.

33. 4-Must arrive at least 45 minutes before the scheduled time. Greet each and every one
of your players and give a brief explanation of the training to be done.
2-We should know, what equipment, space, and time we count for the session, as well
as the number of participating players, and based on this, develop the session.
1-The coach should plan his session before training, leaving nothing to improvise, since
the better we prepare the session, the better results we will have.
3-You must ensure that each player brings the right clothes for the practice, as well as a
bottle with water for hydration during the session or have a fountain nearby.
Session
Before training
37. Session
During the session
The warm-up will not exceed 20 min, including joint mobility,
dynamic stretching, etc. and finally the first contact with the ball, always linked
with the first drill of the session, also essential to introduce fun games to create
a functional link between the player and the work to do after warm up.
A Good warm-up will help us to create healthy routines for the future and avoid injuries.
Don’t do always the same
War up
38. Session
During the training
The exercises must follow it dynamically,
taking advantage of the pauses to drink to prepare the next drill,
thus giving continuity in the effort and necessary learning
The drill should be fun and always go from the simple to the complicated,
listening and watching the reactions of the players,
since they are the ones that will give us a direct vision of how the exercise is going
Long queues are bored and cause demotivation.
Avoid only physical exercises, work with the ball as much as possible.
Drills
39. During the training
Each exercise will consist of three perfectly defined parts:
We must ensure the
correct technical
execution of each
exercise, stopping it
if necessary to
explain it and
demonstrate it again
In this phase, we have to
perform the exercise
ourselves since players learn
faster and better in a visually
way
Should be brief,
clear and direct,
thus avoiding the
distraction of the
players.
We should explain,
where, what, how
and for how long.
It is recommended to finish the last 10-20min
with a match,
and see if the players assimilated the aims of the session

40. Remember Coaching points
Come back to the normal breathing and normal pulse
Create healthy routines, stretching, core
Get feedback and give it to the players
Sometimes finish with a fun game or low competition (penalties)
Date and time for the next session or match
During the training
Cool-Down
42. Session
After the training
The coach must take care,
collect and count all the
equipment used in the
session.
(balls, bibs, markers, cones,
etc)
The coach should check
that each player can leave
the field
(clothes, proper shoes,
belongings, parents pick up
etc.)
We must be the first
to arrive and the
last to leave.
Respect for the
Facilities,
Equipment,
Teammates and
Coach must be a
constant.

Whenever a period or a season finishes each coach should have a presentation with
all the data( session, match, week, month, photos and coach’s thoughts collected
during that time
It will be very useful to the coach and to the team to learn, grow and improve, also to
avoid to repeat mistakes or to go ahead with the plan
