PROCEDURES
a. Pre-lecture/
Motivation
The pupils will have a prayer.
The pupils will have a circle time.
The pupils sing a song lead by the teacher.
The pupils will elaborate the rules whenever the class started.
The pupils will have some review of their past lesson.
b. Process/Student
Activities
The pupils will read the words on the board.
The pupils willbe asked by the teacher to what they’ve noticed on the
board.
The pupils will infer the meaning of compound words.
The pupils will identify the three types of compound words.
The pupils willbe asked by the teacher to give examples of compound
words.
c. Integration/Valuing The pupils will appreciate the importance of joining or blending two
or more simple words to create a new word.
d. Product/Assessment Activity 1. Think of me!
The pupils will be group into two big groups: Group A and Group B
The teacher will draw a table on the board with two columns. Write
Group A and B in the columns.
The pupils will going to play game and they have to make
compound words with the given words.
The teacher will pick a student and give a chit with a root word
written on it. These students will come to the board to write their
compound words with their team shouting out their guesses.
2. Root word Compound words
Group A Sun Sunflower, sunrise, sunset,
sunshine
Group B Tooth Toothache, toothpaste,
toothbrush
The pupils are allowed to ask the other group to tell the correct
word if a group member writes a wrong compound word.
Activity 2: Guess Me!
The pupils will be group into two: Group A and Group B
Both group will have a one representative to stand as tree of picture
words.
Those representative of both group will bring one picture with word
and the least of the members of groups will guess the compound
words.
Activity 3: Group Me!
The pupils will be divided into three groups: Group A for closed,
Group B for open and Group C for hyphenated.

IV. AGREEMENT/
ASSIGNMENT The pupils will answer the worksheet given by the teacher.
