2. What do mangers do?
Managers take care of the career of artists and get as much work for them as
they can. They also aim to achieve the highest salaries for their artists; whilst
some managers in the 70s took a higher of the percentage profits leaving the
artists with very little for themselves. Back then, it was all about finding and
breaking new artists for the managers. Nowadays, managers seem to all do
the same thing and aim for their artists to all get a one hit album.

4. How did Sharon Osbourne come to
manage Ozzie Osbourne & what was her
father like?
Don Arden was a “notorious Salford/Manchester gangster”, he had an
aggressive strategy of managing but it did work. He was seen as a ruthless
villain but he was more complicated than that. He worked from home and his
wife Hope Shaw was in charge of all of his clients. But she then turned
bankrupt so Mr. Arden turned to his daughter Sharon Osbourne. She was put
in charge of Black Sabbath and then fell in love with the job as well as Ozzy
Osbourne. Sharon took complete charge of Ozzy’s career and obviously Don
Arden did not like this at all; he sued Sharon and created a family feud which
lasted for 15 years.
