Detailed Description
Personality: In general, I’m a very social person. I like working with other people and sharing
ideas. I’m pretty vocal about what I think. I tend to be very straightforward, maybe even to a
fault. I don’t struggle with practicing tact and diplomacy, but it’s important to me to keep my
communication clear and difficult to misunderstand. Often at first I come off as pretty serious,
but I have a great sense of humor and I recognize the importance of coming up for air once in a
while.
Leadership: My preferred leadership style is centered in group collaboration. I love working
with engaged team members that take ownership in their part of a project and run with it. I
always prefer to empower team members and give them the autonomy to contribute their own
strengths to a group effort. In situations where the ideal is not possible, whether from lack of
buy-in or limited technical skill, I tend toward a more authoritative leadership style. When I have
a good vision of the big picture and the group is struggling to find a direction I act decisively to
get things moving in a direction that will give the team the confidence to move forward.
Work Ethic: I’ve always liked the saying “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” I take pride
in my work. I like solving complicated problems and when I’m given a task I focus on finding the
most elegant solution given the resources available. That being said, I understand that time is a
resource and there are situations where that has to take precedence over refining a solution
beyond a certain level.
Miscellanea: Some of the things I’m interested in are family, philosophy, martial arts, fitness,
puzzles, and classic cars. I love getting into intellectually stimulating conversation. I really enjoy
learning about and getting to know other people.
