2. Right now, I'm holding
taekwondo certificate, which is
8 years ago and the rank is
triple black belt. To get this
certificate, I had to memorize
over 100 body moves and had
to learn various types of kicks.
And I had to take a 3
taekwondo tests to get to the
rank that I’m currently in. If I
raise one more rank, I will be
entitled to open taekwondo
gym. But I’m still proud of
having this certificate. Because
I have challenged myself
through practicing kicking over
100 times per a day, which
built physical and
psychological endurance.
3. This situation was the
group presentation in
Global Citizenship class.
My role was giving
solution to solve
discrimination toward
female after our group
members giving definition
about the problem. Our
group had to meet 3 or 4
times to organize what we
had to present and
research about the
problem by searching
through internet. Through
this group assignment, I
learned how to
communicate with group
members and how to
solve the problem with
the flow chart.
4. This is the photo that was
taken a year ago, when my
family travel to Tokyo in Japan.
In this country, we had an
experience of their culture and
get to know their economy.
The tour guide was telling all
the information about their
culture and economy. What
I’ve learned from this
experience were most of
Japanese people were polite
toward to the people that they
never met and the average
price of meal in Japan was
15$ in Canadian dollar, which
is expensive compare to most
of the countries.
5. This is the first English
lecture(Comm161) that I’ve taken
on first semester in Centennial
College. My role as student was
how to write an appropriate essay
and at that time I was confused
with the paragraph outline. When
the professor showed me this
PowerPoint about the sample
paragraph outline, I was able to
comprehend the paragraph
outline. After having this class, I
was able to wrote my essay
appropriately and I was able to
organize my paragraph in neat
way. After this taking this lecture,
I was able to enhance my English
grade D to B+.
6. This was Ukraine community
event near to Runnymede
station on last year. I went to
this event with two Ukraine
friends and get to experience
their culture in direct way. Two
Ukraine friends were able to
help giving information about
their food and their culture. So I
tried one of their food, which
was Cheese Blintze with
Raspberry Sauce. And I saw a
performance of the Ukraine
singer, who sings about blames
their politician. From those two
experiences, I learned that
Ukraine is good at making food
out of daily product and hate
their politician, who support
Russia.
And this was unique experience
that I’ve never had in my life.
