CHRISTMAS BAPTISM 2020
TESTIMONIES
1. JANE LOH
I received Jesus Christ into my life as Lord and Saviour in 2019. I was attending a church service
and was convicted of the reality of God and said the sinnersâ prayer to invite Jesus into my life. To
help myself grow and know the Word better, I attend service and read the bible and daily bread
regularly.
2. CAMILIA NG CHING TIENG
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2018. Two sisters in Christ frequently visited me in
hospital to pray for me and through them, I gradually began my faith in Jesus Christ. When I had
my surgery in May this year, I prayed for my rectum to be unaffected and God answered my prayer.
Currently, as I go through chemotherapy, I put my faith in God to help me get through it.
3. AN TAE YONG
When I was 5 years old, I experienced the healing from Jesus Christ from a very serious asthma
attack. Through prayers from a pastor, God restored me completely on the day I had to see the
doctor! Even the doctors could not explain how I was healed. But deep in my heart, I knew God
was working. And I believe that He is my healer and deliverer. Today, I have decided to through the
waters of baptism, to believe in Jesus, to follow Him and to grow more and more in Him!
4. WEENEE BEK MEOW KIANG
I received Christ in 1984 when my classmate brought me to church. Throughout my life, Jesus
has been there and I want to draw closer to Him and love Him more. I go through the waters of
baptism today as a public confession of my faith, dying to my old self and living a renewed life in
Christ.
5. DIANA CHAN TSUI LI
I received Jesus into my life as Lord and Saviour in 1985 through the Bible Study Fellowship.
Since then, I have grown in my relationship with God through daily bible reading and inductive
bible study. I go through the waters of baptism today to testify of Godâs goodness in my life to my
friends and family and to declare that my life is in Christ.
6. KATELYN CHOO
I was born into a Christian family and learnt about the gospel since I was young. I began to take
my faith more seriously when I entered Youth Church and realised that a walk with God is so much
more than just âdoing the right thingâ. I am now beginning to grasp and appreciate the extent and
depth of Godâs love and mercy He has for me.
5. 5
7. KRIS KHOO
I came to know Jesus through the years, Iâve experienced His goodness as I walk with Him. I
spend time with God through reading the Bible and doing devotion. Today, I want to surrender my
life in faith and obedience to God as I enter the waters of baptism!
8. SHERIN KU
I came to know the Lord in 2000 when I was brought to another church by a friend but stopped
attending after a while. After I was married, I started to attend BBTC on invitation from another
friend. During this time, while I encountered some trials in my life, I experienced Godâs peace
which supported me through this difficult time.
9. KARYS LAM
In 2008, my primary school friend brought me to BBTC for a Childrenâs Day event. It was then
when I learnt about Christ. Since then, I have been attending church on Sundays with her.
Through the years, God has journeyed with me through many obstacles in my life and looking
back, He has never failed me or left me on my own.
10. ANGELINE ANN LIM
I received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in 2017 through my cell group. I read the bible regularly
to help myself grow in my relationship with God. I go through the waters of baptism today as my
declaration of my commitment to obey and follow Jesus Christ all the days of my life.
11. JEAN CASSANDRA LIM
I received God into my life at the Alpha Retreat in 2019. During the course, I asked many buried
questions I had about this faith while growing up. And as I start to find answers to these burning
questions, I see myself drawing closer to the Lord and how He has worked in my life. Today, I
want to surrender my life in faith and obedience to God as I enter the waters of baptism!
12. GRACE MARK YU EN
Having attended various Christmas events in my childhood, the Christmas story of Jesus wasnât
something unfamiliar. However due to challenging family circumstances, I began blaming God
and doubting His love for me. In a youth service I attended, I experienced Godâs love where He
told me through the worship songs of His extravagant love for me. While circumstances at home
did not improve immediately, I clung on to Jesus as my hope. After 8 years, God finally delivered
me from my challenging situation at home.
6. 6
13. ALINE NG
I got to know about God during my secondary school days. However, I did not feel comfortable to
explore going to the church. It was only when I went to Perth for my university studies that I had
the freedom to explore different churches in Perth and started to learn more about the faith.
When I came back to Singapore in 2014 after my studies, I struggled with many aspects of my
life and was at the lowest point of my life. My friend invited me to a Good Friday event in BBTC.
During the altar call, my heart felt overwhelmed by Godâs love and I prayed the sinnerâs prayer to
invite Jesus into my life.
14. NG WENXU
I spent a few years reading up on various religions from an intellectual perspective as I had a
sense that something was missing in my life and there must be a larger purpose. I was most
inspired by the historical evidences of Christianity and thus walked in to an Alpha class one
day. It was transformational for me as I started to experience the love of God. I then attended a
second run of Alpha not long after at BBTC and that was when I was finally able to surrender and
invite Jesus to be the Lord and Saviour of my life.
15. ANNE SWATHI
When I look back in my life, I realised God knew me even before I was in my motherâs womb. All
these years, He has prepared me gradually and has drawn me towards Him. I have experienced
God as my strength, my light and my truth. He is the God that speaks through His Word to
comfort me. Itâs a beautiful feeling to receive Godâs love which is higher than any other love.
16. WAN TSUI LING
Iâve been blessed by my aunt who plays a big part in my Christian journey since I was young.
Through encouragement from family members, and knowing that I want God to be part of my
lifeâs journey, I have decided to be baptised to publicly declare my decision to follow Jesus.
17. Y RADHA DEVI
I received Jesus into my life as Lord and Saviour in 2011. I am growing in my relationship with God
through prayer and the reading of the Word of God. I go through the waters of baptism today to
proclaim Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.
18. RICKY CHAN
I came to know Jesus 15 years ago. Through the love and care from church and the pastors, I
prayed to receive Christ as my saviour. I attend the service in BBTC together with my family
frequently. Today, as I enter the waters of baptism, I know that I will live a renewed life.
7. 7
19. CHEW DA MING
During a difficult time in my relationship, I called out to God for direction on which path to take
and He led to understand what I needed to do. As a result, I received Jesus into my life as Lord
and Saviour. Now, through cell group bible study and attending service, I am growing in my
understanding of God and His Word.
20. CHUA SHAOJUN
I grew up with anxiety and a lot of questions about life. When I was secondary 3, I was invited
to BBTC by my classmate and her aunt. During the sermon, I was convicted by Senior Pastor
Daniel Fooâs message and received Christ into my life. However, I did not follow up on my
decision and my life started to spiral downwards towards depression and suicidal thoughts.
It was then I was reminded that I was a child of God and to come back to Him. I came back to
BBTC and joined a cell group. Since then I have not looked back, growing spiritually and walking
closely with God.
21. JOEL DHIVIYAN
I was born in a Christian home and attended a Christian kindergarten where I received Jesus
into my heart. Since then, I have grown in the Lord through reading the bible and listening to
sermons. Sometimes while walking alone, I would talk to God or listen to worship songs. I go
through the waters of baptism today to dedicate my life to follow Jesus, dying to my old self
and living a renewed life in Christ.
22. KOH KOK SIONG
I received Jesus into my life as Lord and Saviour in 2018 during a church service. Usually I learn
more about the word of God to grow through the sermons from the pulpit. I go through the
waters of baptism today to publicly declare my faith to follow Jesus.
23. LIAU WEI JING
I have always known that there must be a God but I was not sure which one. As I was trained
in engineering school, I see things in a scientific and logical way and hard facts are required
for my âanalysisâ. One day I prayed to this unknown God to reveal Himself to me. Since the
prayer, a series of encounters and incidents took place that led me to conclude that the God of
Christianity is the one true God.
24. JONATHAN LOH
There were various points in my life where I hit rock bottom and I have seen doors closed on
me many times. After being introduced to Christ through my fiancee, I started to surrender
my difficult situations to God, allowing Jesus to be my guide who will be the light to my path.
Today, I have decided to turn from the old life of sin to a new life in Jesus, through the waters of
baptism.

25. PAOLO SERGI
In 2017, I had a health scare where I was told by the specialist that I had a degenerative
disease of the bile duct which was incurable. Prior to receiving the MRI results, I prayed to
God that if the results turned out to be clear, I would accept Christ and be part of His body
life. By the grace of God, the results showed no issues. After this incident, I realised that
life is fragile and started questioning myself if something was amiss. I realised that to live
meaningfully, it is found only in Jesus.
26. ABEL SIOW
I came to know about God from the Alpha Course. As I start building my spiritual journey with
God, Iâve experienced His grace on various aspects of my life. I trust that the Lord will always
have a plan for me as I continue to be a vessel for Him.
27. KEVIN TAN KOK MENG
I attended the Alpha Course on invitation by Mr. Jeffrey Goh who was teaching me in a
leadership course. In Alpha, I got to know more about God and drew closer to Him. In one of
the last few sessions during the Alpha get-away, I said the sinnerâs prayer and surrendered
myself to Christ.
