Charity medical Camp in Deep Tenom,Sabah

2. 24 hours before our departure, as a precaution
and also to prevent covid from spreading to the
Kampongs, we had all team member tested for
covid with RTK Antigen test. All of us pass except
the team leader Dr Soo, who was not well and
tested positive 2 days earlier.
So he has to be excused to rest at home.

3. After the custom check, we met up with Dr Jolene and Dr
Eden. Now we are 12, and we left in 2 vans for a simple
noodle lunch before crossing the Crocker Range.

8. This is the logistics team. They are a great help.
They do the heavy lifting, registering, interpreting for us,
and helping out with all the miscel chores.
The gentleman on the left ( mask on chin ) is Carrot, the
leader

9. The Medical Camp is held on the church hall.
The altar and stage is on the upper right.
We tried our best to control the crowd and
keep physical distancing, whenever possible.

11. At the eye station, we check for Myopia ( Tumbling E )
and also provided free reading glasses if the people
wanted ( of course after some warning and cautions )

12. The dispensary, the last station where all
will visit. Dr Eden is in charge
By the first day, we were running out of
Panadol ( the most popular item ).

13. After the Camp at about 4pm, the VIPs came to visit.
There were dancing and speeches. Followed by dinner.

Kungkular, which is on way to Tenom.

17. After bath and dinner, we started to prepare for
the Camp, especially the dispensary as some drugs
was running low.

But the wifi coverage is best 10-20 Meters from
the church entrance.

25. We are at Kg Mentimuh.
On arrival, after dinner, the YB of Tenom Puan Norita Sual
came to present momento to us.

The dental station is in the annex, outside the Pastor’s quarters.

They extracted 71 teeth here.
