Leslie will go through the introduction of the group, support staff , Len and then Silas. Silas will then begin his part of the presentation (slides 1-3). “ Thank you Leslie. First, I would like to thank all of you for taking time out of your schedules to be here today and take part in this User Group. As Leslie stated, my name is Silas Martin and before coming to Drilling Info ,I was a landman for several years working plays all across the country. During my time as a landman; I was, much like all of you, a Drilling Info client. I was introduced to Drilling Info at a Winter NAPE. At first, I was a little overwhelmed and used it once or twice a month. But then I progressed to using once or twice a week, until I became familiar enough with the features and tools that I was turning to it several times a day. But as a client , I would often think, “ If only they would have done it this way.” or “ I wonder if I could use Drilling Info to find this?” Then, 2 ½ years ago I was presented with the opportunity to join Drilling Info and was put in charge of managing the very product that I was using on a daily basis. I got the opportunity to interject my “ if only’s ” and I was able to find out how to do the “I wonder if’s” . As we move forward with this User Group, please take advantage of the opportunity that is being presented to you. This is your opportunity to interject your “ if only’s” and turn to a group of peers and see if anyone can help you answer your “ I wonder if’s .” And this leads us to our first slide… Why are you here?”
After this slide, Silas will turn the presentation over to Len.
“ Who is familiar with one of Drilling Info’s latest acquisitions, County Scans?” “ In the Months to come, we are going to want to pick your brain and involve you in some key decision making processes with this new product.” “ First let me give a brief overview of what this product is currently and then I will bring you in the loop as to where this product is headed.”
“ At our next User Group meeting Silas, will walk us through a workflow he used when he was a client of Drilling Info.” “ Throughout the course of these meetings, each of you will have the opportunity to present any workflows that you feel may help the group or workflows that you would like the group to help you improve.”
