Hiring Professional
Intel
Dear Intel:
If Intel requires a high-energy network security analyst with a no-excuses attitude
and is up to any task, then I'm the person you're seeking. My qualifications and
experience will enable me to fulfill your expectations.
I am particularly interested in a position with Intel because of my background in
computer science. Recent examples of my work include CISSP Review and A+ and
Security + bootcamps.
Studying Intel's values, I see that they mirror the United States Air Force's core
values of Integrity first, service before self and excellence in all we do. Intel's values of
quality, results and customer orientation, risk-taking and discipline all are encompassed
in the Air Force's values. I have strived to always produce a quality product, take risks,
while mitigating risk and focus on the end result the customer. From pushing carts to
taking inventory to working on intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), the quality
products I produced emulated what the Air Force and Intel values state.
I have worked with people of many backgrounds, nationalities and have thrived in
their presence. The military emphasizes teamwork and that we as members are part of
something bigger that emphasizes the good of the nation over individual achievements.
This taught me that I was part of something special and that to always do the right thing,
do it correctly and to the best of your ability, whether someone was watching or not.
I have been responsible for several equipment accounts worth over 250 million
dollars that were always available to my fellow Air Force team members, allowing for a
90% Minuteman III and Peacekeeper missile alert rate, 100% on time missile stage
deliveries to Peacekeeper test launch team members, 100% equipment availability and 11
successful Peacekeeper test launches, each worth 100 million dollars.
I have worked for over thrifty years in areas of increasing responsibility, from
pushing carts, to taking retail inventory, grocery clerk, to working on two of our nations
ICBM's, the Peacekeeper and Minuteman III missiles, to the trainers that train the officers
to launch Minuteman III ICBM's to monitoring the computers that monitor the health and
status and launch capability of our nations Ground Based Midcourse Defenses (GMD), I
have embraced responsibility, teamwork, quality and results and customer orientation,
some Intel values and Air Force values, putting the customer first.
While working over thirty years, I was in school the past thirty years as well. I
was working, going to high school and in my junior year of high school, starting going to
2. college. I received my first bachelors degree in 2011 and my last bachelors degree in
2015. After graduating high school my college enrollment continued as I went to a
community college and a four year college before enlisting in the United States Air
Force.
While in the Air Force for twenty years, I obtained a Community College of the
Air Force degree in Missile Maintenance and attended community colleges in Nevada,
Wyoming and California. Upon retirement from the Air Force, my college career
continued where I changed my major to Computer Science. In my eleven years with my
current company, I have obtained a B.S. in Computer Science, attended an A+ and
Security+ bootcamp, obtained an A+ and Security+ certification. I also have attended and
completed a CISSP Boeing review course and received a B.A. in Intelligence Studies.
This interview opportunity has been given to me by a friend at Intel, Rick Pons,
for which I am sincerely grateful. My uncle, Frank Ammiro, also works at Intel as his
company was recently acquired by Intel. I was bitten by the computer bug in 2000 and
starting taking additional computer courses to fulfill my dream of working on computers.
I have built two computers for home use and have continued to gain knowledge by
computer bootcamps, college and practical experience.
While my experience in network security is limited, two college classes and a
CISSP review course, this has led me to a path to a possible career in networking. I will
continue my education to help further my knowledge in networking.
I can fit into many niches in Intel, from Information Technology (networking) to
Software, to Veterans and Military Service Members to Materials Planning, all of which I
have experience in.
With regards to networking, the Intel program, Intel Authenticate, looks like a
great project fit for me as it encompasses hardware and software. The Intel vpro
processors are another area of interest as they also encompass network security on the
chip. The Intel Unite collaboration software is another area of interest as it demonstrates
Intel security features for secure voice and video transmission. The new Intel SSG Pro
2500 series drives are futuristic in design and available now, pushing technology forward.
Intel's programs for the family are another reason for choosing to work at Intel.
From the MakeHers project to child tutoring to eldercare to childcare, show Intel's
commitment to the family, which is another reason why Intel fits my values and why I
wish to work there.
I have embraced the future starting in 2000 and continuing to this day, to develop
my interest in computers and computing. With a position at Intel, my dreams could be
realized and my ultimate goal could be achieved, a career in computers. Thank you for
giving me this opportunity and I look forward to my interview.
I am interested in interviewing with you or one of your associates. I can be
reached at my home phone number, 805-588-3300, to arrange for an interview at a
mutually convenient time.
Sincerely,
Joseph C Dominice III
