What is SQUEEZE Casting ?
SQUEEZE Casting is a sophisticated high pressure die casting process which
successfully eliminates most problems associated with die casting.
SQUEEZE Casting will provide better mechanical properties,
lower porosity, finer grain structure and excellent finish to the product by
applying high pressure (100 MPa =1,000 kg/cm' =1,4,000 p'>i)

world through its Machinery & Engi-
neering Division.
The Division consists of three business
segments: heavy machinery; industrial
machinery and bridges & steel struc-
tures; environment related system &
plant engineering.

Backed by its exclusive leading-edge
technology, UBE's machinery has a excellent
reputation for high reliability.
In recent years, the Company has posted many
achievements in the development of
equipment and processes in fields related to
the protection of the environment.

The heavy machinery business includes
die-casting machines, injection molding
machines, extrusion presses for copper
or aluminum, and steel-making equip-
ment.
UBE boasts a leading share in the large-
scale die-casting and injection molding
machines' market, and has obtained a
high reputation from major automobile
companies in Japan and abroad for its
high potential technological develop-
ment.
For the customers for the small and
medium sized die-casting and injection
molding machines, UBE provides an
impressive array of their machine opera-
tors training programs and a world-wide
after-sales services network.
The industrial machinery business in-
cludes vertical roller mills and re-
duction gears, chemical equip-
ment, water debris screens, cranes
and other type of transporting
eq uipment. These mill s have
been successfully operated in the cement
industries both in Japan and abroad.
The steel bridges and steel structure fab-
rication is also operated in the industrial
machinery business.
By the UBE's own developed unique
process called Squeeze Process® UBE's
affiliates both in Japan and abroad pro-
duce aluminum products such as alu-
minum wheels with the features of fine
structure , a hi gh degree of tensil e
strength and design flexibility. These
aluminum wheels so made have con-
tributed greatly to the reduction of the
weight in automobiles wheels and thus
