Jimmy Winemiller is a well-known Florida investor, developer, and real-estate entrepreneur. But in his teenage years, Jimmy Winemiller had a brush with a more rock-and-roll lifestyle as a personal friend of Sonny Burgess and the members of his band, the Legendary Pacers. Albert Austin "Sonny" Burgess, who died in 2017, was a successful rockabilly guitarist and singer. Along with his band, at that time called the Pacers, he had a string of hit singles in the 1950s and 1960s, including "Red Headed Woman," "We Wanna Boogie," and "Sadie's Back In Town." They played alongside a host of famous names, including Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. Sonny Burgess was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame of Europe in 1999 and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2002. He and his band, now called the Legendary Pacers, continued to tour right up until his death in 2017. The Legendary Pacers still perform, having been in the music business for 64 years.
