usually stay away from. However, Jim is such an extraordinary person;1hadto takethe time todo it.
I worked with Jim at Textron Fluid Handling Products for over three years. He was suggested as a participant for
my first Textron Six Sigma Team. Over the past three years we have gotten to know each other very well as we
worked through our team project and then as peer Black Belts.
Jim is a very committed professional, an expert in his area and continuously worked onimproving his knowledge
base. He is an excellent leader and co-worker. He had a passion for his job and a great loyalty to his company. He
takes pride in doing his job well. Jim was very committed to our company and his fellow employees.
After working with Jim onmy Six Sigma team it betame evident that he was committed to continuous improvement
When I couldn't participate he jumped inand kept the team going. His leadership skills were very evident I could
always count onJim lO pick up on the new tools presented, learn them quickly and run with1bem. His skills on the
computer, hardware and software, were indispensable to the team. With aU this in mind, I proposed him as an
excellent candidate for the Black Belt process. He was immediately accepted and startedworking his projects.
Along with all the positive attnoutes noted above, he brought his wealth of sales.marketing and customer knowledge
tothe table and it was evident in his projects.
