Mainframe Batch Production Support (Team Lead)
Responsible for batch production runs and performed 1st and 2nd level production
support for several mainframe billing and order entry systems. Applied analytical skills
to resolve abends and production errors in a timely manner. Supported bi-monthly
software releases for the order entry applications.
Team lead responsibilities included attending bridge calls with the Release and New
Development teams to walk through batch JCL and scheduling parameters. Conducted
weekly team meetings, assigned tasks and reviewed work progress with all team
members. Produced a number of status reports as well as performed RACF and
Configuration Management duties.
Accomplishments – Was able to maintain an annual abend rate of less than 1% for batch
jobs supported by the team. This included 50,000+ batch executions per month.

Escalated issues/abends to Operations or Applications Support as necessary.
As a member of Ops/Prod Support I resolved issues/abends and migrated those tested
changes to Production. Responsible for the job scheduling systems and making
changes/new installs as necessary. Supported new software implementation as well.
