variety of architectural platforms for the US and Canada. Technology ranges from Oracle Web based
eBusiness Suite applications, multi-dimensional databases, Client Server Planning tools to 30-year-old
custom mainframe and AS400 applications.
Dec 99 – Dec 01 As a Senior Programmer Analyst for McDonald’s, worked as a US representative with a world-wide
technical team in Vienna, Austria to install and support Oracle e-commerce workflow software in the
US and provided design and technical guidance for interfacing with US legacy systems. New
mainframe online and batch systems were created to build a seamless flow of data and functionality
between various technical environments.
Mar 1999 - Dec 99 As a Senior Programmer Analyst for McDonald’s, installed Oracle Financial Analyzer OLAP packaged
solution. This product is used as McDonalds USA Planning and Budgeting reporting. It is a thin client
multi dimensional database reporting and planning system that interfaces with the US mainframe legacy
systems.
Jan 1997 - Mar 99 As a Technical Lead for McDonald’s, provided the strategy and execution on the retirement of legacy
mainframe systems. To capitalize on the Y2K cost, a new global financial system was built on an
A/S400 and SP2 architectures that required the retirement of over 1800 reports, 1000 batch and 250
online legacy mainframe processes. This included identifying and resolving the impacted interface
systems and redefining the mainframe master schedule.
Jan 1996 - Dec 1996 As a Technical Analyst for McDonald’s, helped build requirements and developed a 37-page white
paper study for installing Windows 95 throughout McDonald’s 6000 PCs nationwide. This study
involved working in a lab to crash-and-burn several PCs to understand Windows 95 available technical
options outlining pros and cons for using McDonald’s architecture.
Jan 94 – Dec 95 As a Technical Analyst for McDonald’s, helped analyze, design, code, test and implement a Geographic
Information System (GIS). This powerful PC based business mapping software from ESRI provided
McDonald’s Real Estate executives with a geographic representation of a variety of demographic data
for both restaurant selection and improvement for any given geographic area in the United States. This
project involved customizing the GUI and adding functionality using a proprietary Object-Oriented
language and purchasing a variety of demographic data (census, traffic counts, competitor sales, etc…).
Jan 92 – Dec 93 As a Programmer Analyst for McDonald’s, participated in analysis, design, code, test and
implementation of a Benefits system (401K). This system utilized CICS, DB2, Cobol, and APS as the
development tools. This resulted in 50 online programs and over 200 new batch processes.
Mar 87 – Dec 91 As a Programmer Analyst for McDonald’s, developed, enhanced and supported hundreds of online and
batch mainframe Financial and Sales systems. This included knowledge of IMS D/B D/C, CICS DB2,
Cobol, APS, BAL and JCL.
Mar 84 – Mar 87 As a Programmer for Jewel Foods, I developed, enhanced and supported several online and batch
