Key Statistics
2021 saw a record amount of M&A activity in the DGI space from both
strategic and financial buyers. Middle market platform companies
were among the most active as private equity firms looked to acquire
capability sets and customer presences. Additionally, there were a
number of significant private equity exits to large strategic buyers such
as Carlyle’s sale of Novetta to Accenture, Enlightenment’s sale of 1901
Group to Leidos, Veritas’ sale of Alion to Huntington Ingalls Industries,
and H.I.G.’s sale of WBB to Serco.
