• Negotiated contracts and services with vendors to provide services for the facility
(liability insurances, property insurance(saving the corporate office 40K), hospice, new roof,
new copier machines, new pharmacy, landscaping, litigations, settlement claims, new air
conditioners,
• New fire alarm replacement (AHCA Plans and Construction), successfully completing this project
with AHCA Plans and Construction division within 10 months receiving final approval.
• Oversee the Assisted Living Facility, Pine Grove Manor, with support, guidance, and corporate
support for inspections, marketing, budgeting, and overall managerial operations of the facility.
• Given the Silver Crown Award in March 2011 given recognition as being one of the nation’s “Top
Senior Professionals.” This recognition was published in the March 2011 magazine edition of Case
in Point, which is a magazine that is distributed to over 500, 000 case managers nation wide.
• Edgewater Manor received an Honorable Mention award in 2011 by “Case in Point” which was
A national recognition award for the facility. This was also recognized by Florida Health Care
Association.
• 2010 Administrator of the Year for Bortz Healthcare Corporation
• Successfully completed and participated in Department of Labor audit during the year of 2012
with corporate legal, Department of Veteran Affairs, and the facility.
• Facility was chosen for AHCA 2014 Quality Symposium in New Orleans for Reduction of Anti-
Psychotic medications and Poster Presentation was selected by AHCA.
• Participated in the acquisition of transfer of ownership from Bortz Healthcare to new ownership
of Villa Healthcare/EMI/SMJ Healthcare. This acquisition started in January 2015 ending in June
30, 2015. Assisted with legal notifications, transfer of documentation and education to staff,
family, and residents.
