Chief Executive Officer
Dear Community Members,
for nearly 70 years, the Peninsula Health Care
District (PHCD) has fulfilled its commitment to
the health of its constituents by building and
operating the first Peninsula Hospital (opened
in 1954); partnering with Sutter Health to
build and operate the new Mills-Peninsula
Medical Center (opened in 2011); identifying
and addressing health priorities and gaps in
needed services today; and planning for future
health needs of our constituents tomorrow. As
needs and health care delivery models have
evolved, so has the District’s role in serving its
residents.
Our focus in 2016 was to:
• Use the countywide 2016 triennial health
assessment and other relevant market surveys,
trended data and stakeholder feedback to
inform PHCD priorities and activities.
• Partner with community-based organizations
to address current needs.
• Identify gaps and collaborate with
