Keeping Children Safe
100% Compliance for every session of care
Documentation
There are key documents to continually review to maintain
compliance and will keep children safe:
• Emergency Management Plans
• Enrolment forms- all areas completed in full and signed within the year
• Staff records are complete with WWCC, certificates and Inductions
• MMP for children are complete on right template and signed by doctor
• Daily compliance items
Emergency Management Plans
• Each site is required to have an Emergency Management Plan
(EMP)
• The Emergency Management Plan must be documented in the
Service Information Folder to ensure that it is accessible to all
educators
• In the event of any emergency the coordinator and educators will
follow the service emergency management plan with the
supportive direction of emergency services to ensure that all
children are kept safe
Emergency Drills
As the Nominated Supervisor Emergency Drills:
• Emergency drills for the different types of emergencies identified in
your EMP will be practiced every three (3) months with all the
children, coordinators and educators
• Each drill is to evaluated using Camp Australia’s Emergency Drill
Evaluation Report and filed in the Service Information Folder and
available at request
• Reflect on the drill with all educators and children and discuss this
with their RM to ensure that the process was achievable and safe for
all involved
Types of drills include:
Lock down
drill
Lock out
drill
Medical
emergencies
Emergency
evacuation
drill
See Policy Snapshots for the EMP Template
CEIS
All families attending a service with Camp Australia must complete an online enrolment form through the Camp
Australia Parent Portal BEFORE commencement of care.
As the Nominated Supervisor it is your responsibility to ensure:
• The Coordinator checks each CEIS has the most up-to-date information
• The Coordinator communicates effectively with parents if the information requires updating
• The Coordinator has stored the CEIS correctly on site:
• Accessible to the Educators during the operations of the service
• At the end of each session the CEIS are in a locked and secure location
Medical Management Plans (MMP)
Each child in care at the service will be provided with the individual care required if diagnosed with a particular medical
condition.
As the Nominated Supervisor you will need to work closely with the Coordinator to ensure ALL MMP are completed and
reviewed correctly
Where the Parent/Authorised Person has advised there is a medical condition, they must complete ALL required medical
forms provided by Camp Australia and on Camp Australia Template – BEFORE the child can access any service
Work closely with the Coordinator to ensure they enact the Medical Conditions including Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy or
Risk of Anaphylaxis Policy - a Child can be refused care if the documentation is incomplete
Working collaboratively on daily compliance
As the Nominated Supervisor it important to work closely with your Coordinators ensuring to following daily items are
completed:
Hazard
Checklist
Cleaning
schedule
Fridge
temps
Programming/
reflection
journal
Headcount

Reminder
How to support the service in maintaining compliance:
