Choosing the right person for the right job.
It is a negative process as it choose less
than the number of candidates rejected. It
involves series of steps which differ from
organisation to organisation.

4.Placement and Orientation.
Placement is occupying the post by the
candidate for which he/she is selected.
Orientation is introduction of new
employees to the existing employees. Large
organisation organise orientation programme
where as small organistion superior takes the
responsibility to introduce new emploee to

Training provides practical skills for
performing the job. It increases the both
knowledge and skill of doing the job.
Development is the continuous learning
