This document discusses a UNICEF report on child poverty in Colombia. It notes that 34 out of every 100 Colombian children suffer from multidimensional poverty. The age groups with the highest levels of poverty are children aged 3-5 years at 37% and teenagers at 35.2%. Mario Gomez of the Restrepo Barco Foundation commented that efforts should focus on food security, water access, education coverage and quality to help alleviate child poverty in Colombia, which disproportionately impacts regions like Chocó, La Guajira, Córdoba, Nariño and San Andrés. Peace is also seen as essential to reducing poverty.
