LED lighting system design specifically for commercial building
Problems need to be solved
The components are easily put up or mounted on the ceiling, but sometimes it is
very difficult to take them out or replace them when light has to be changed.
Challenges
Safe Replacement Method
Since commercial building has really high ceiling, having a safer method for the
person who replaced the component, less risk of falling off the ladder or other ac-
cident is very important.
Strong Mounting System
Mounting system has to be strong enough to withstand the gravity force.
Simple and Intutive Use
Everyone has different technical knowledge level, so the way to replace the com-
ponent has to be simple and easy understanding for everyone.
Possibilities of Mechanism
Once it is mounted, it has to be easily removed too.

Research
+ According to the comfortable view zone data, we know set the table height
around 28” to 30” would have the most comfortable view for wheelchair user.
+ Based on the survey from instructors, I found that large storage space is a very
important feature for them.
+ Big classroom usually has very wide stage in the front. Sometimes the control
panel is on the wall or near the door, which makes many teachers inconvinient.

For the average height people, they can use the suface on
the top, and the extend table can either be used by wheel-
chair user as a table or an extra surface.

Inspiration
We all know kids love to play in their small kitchen toy set, why not let them walk into kitchen and make
some salad with you! Animal figure and cartoon character always can attract kid's attention. Therefore, I
decided to make an animal figure handle on a mini size spatule.
Material
sculpey liquid rubber siliconemold release
16. Stable sculpey in the clay
Once the mold made, pour liquid rubber in the
mold. Wait till other day to take apart.
Process
Spray Mold Release on the clay and sculpey.
And then pour silicone into the mold.
Cut mini spatule and stick small animal figure on
the top.

step ladder. And if you flip it over, it can be a
basket too.

ing. For people who don’t want to wait
in line, they can use this APP to check
the capacity of restaurant, and reserve
a table or let the system alarm you
when it’s light capacity in restaurant.

In the grocery store, see how people
take the package out from the shelf.
When the boxes are close together, they
are hard to get off the shelf.
The only I observed users grabbing the
tea off the shelf is by tipping it down from
the top.

Our user has an issue with taking medication with his active lifestyle. he
is afraid to bring bottles of his medication incase he loses them. He also
doesn’t go home every night. Sometimes he stays across town at his
friends house, and needs a portable way to always have his medication
handy.
