2. What is the level of writing self - efficacy of students in terms of these dimensions:
a. Ideation
b. Convention
c. Self- regulation
3. Is there a significant relationship between the level of reading habit on Wattpad
stories and to student's writing self- efficacy?
7. LEVEL OF WATTPAD READING HABIT
Profile of the respondents according to Wattpad reading habit
8. Bar chart showing the profile of the respondents according to Wattpad reading
habit.

Descriptive levels of the students’
writing self-efficacy
10. CORRELATIONAL ANALYSIS ON WATTPAD READING
HABIT AND WRITING SELF-EFFICACY
Test of significant relationship
(Spearman’s rho) of students’
Wattpad reading habit and
writing self-efficacy
11. Findings
1. It has been found out that out of 83 respondents, there are 18.1% students who are non- Wattpad readers;
39.8% of students that read Wattpad less than 1 book (chapters only) in a month and there is only 15.7% of
students who read 3 or more books in a month. Overall, the level of students' reading habit is weak.
2. The level of the overall writing self-efficacy of students including the dimensions are moderately high with the
mean of 3.00.
a. In the dimension of ideation, the level of writing self-efficacy of students are moderately high with a mean of
2.92.
b. The level of writing self-efficacy of students in the dimension of conventions is also moderately high with a
mean of 3.12.
c. Students' level of writing self-efficacy in the dimension of self-regulation is moderately high with a mean of
2.92.
12. 3. There is no significant relationship between the level of reading habit on Wattpad stories and
to students’ writing self-efficacy, rs having the value of -.010 and the p-value with the result of .931
which is more than the significance level 0.05 which implies that the null hypothesis must be
accepted, and the alternative hypothesis that Wattpad reading habit can boost students’ writing
self-efficacy must be rejected.
13. Conclusion
After analyzing the data, the results show the level of Wattpad reading habit of
students does not have significant correlation with the level of writing self-efficacy of students
as well it's dimensions which are ideation, convention and self-regulation which was shown in
table 3. The level of Wattpad reading habit that shown in table 1 has 39.8%of participants had a
weak reading habit which implies that most of the students read less than a book. The level of
students writing self-efficacy which is shown in table 2 is moderately high. In testing correlation
between the variables studied, it has found out that there is no significant relationship between
the level of Wattpad reading habit among students and their writing self-efficacy.
14. Recommendations
1. Reading Wattpad stories is not just a way to increase the level of writing self-efficacy of
students, there are many mediums that can help students to boost their confidence in
writing.
2. Further studies shall be conducted to validate the relationship between the two variables.
3. Formal studies in the English subject must continue to be taught by teachers for students
to have greater knowledge and confidence with their ideation, conventions, and self-
regulation, complemented with students’ reading habit.
