This study examined the relationship between students' level of reading habit on the Wattpad platform and their writing self-efficacy. The researchers surveyed 83 senior high school students. They found that most students had a weak reading habit on Wattpad, reading less than one book per month. Students' overall writing self-efficacy was moderately high across dimensions of ideation, conventions, and self-regulation. However, the study found no significant correlation between students' Wattpad reading habit and their writing self-efficacy. The researchers concluded that while reading can boost confidence, Wattpad reading alone may not influence writing self-efficacy. They recommend validating the relationship with further studies and continuing formal English instruction to develop students
