One-year appointment as Editor of the Montanan, UM’s alumni magazine,
as well as for Vision, UM’s research magazine. Also redesigned the Montanan
and Vision. Organized and presented Publications Expo to standardize
on-campus publications, bulletins, reports and flyers for correct and
consistent publications style. Proofread the Campus Newsletter. Wrote script
for UM’s provost to commemorate the university’s Charter Day.
Worked with the Alumni Office and University Relations to secure legislative
funding as well as to publicize achievements of students, faculty and alumni.
Produced Crossroads: Education in the 1990s for the University System’s
legislative report on higher education; edited UM president’s annual report.
Quit to move to Port Angeles, Wash., for my husband’s career.

Wrote and edited press releases about campus news, scholarship winners,
research and new programs. Many stories were published or broadcast by
state media as well as carried on the AP Wire. Wrote and proofread articles
for campus newsletter, research magazine, and alumni magazine. Arranged
press conferences for UM president and UM visitors. Helped coordinate
UM’s presentation to the 1989 legislative subcommittee for funding higher
education.
