I have extensive journalism experience in the newsrooms of newspapers, including employment as a reporter/photographer, publisher and editor. I have covered a wide variety of beats – cops and courts, government, business, environment and features. I am especially adept at determining which stories most affect readers and researching all sides of the issues and arguments to present stories in a compelling, reader-friendly style. In my most recent job as news editor, in addition to my regular editing duties, I won for stories I wrote the Arizona Newspaper Association Freedom of Information Award for three years in a row – 2002, 2003 and 2004, and Arizona Game and Fish named me as Outdoors
