1. West Asia is rich in cultural heritage, and this is clearly evident in the variety and quality of regional arts and crafts.

Observe the different designs of lines on the pots. due to lack of good stones in mesapotamia, they just made most of the clay as the main medium for their arts and culture specially the Sumerian civilization in present days is the country of Iraq.
3. The Sumerians were the people of southern Mesopotamia whose civilization flourished between c. 4100-1750 BCE.  The Sumerians are recognized today for numerous contributions to world culture,  They essentially “invented” time by dividing day and night into 12-hour periods, hours into 60 minutes, and minutes into 60 seconds. Their other innovations and inventions include the first schools, the earliest version of the tale of the Great Flood and other biblical narratives, the oldest heroic epic, governmental bureaucracy, monumental architecture, and irrigation techniques. Its purpose is to get the temple closer to the heavens, and provide access from the ground to it via steps. The Mesopotamians believed that these pyramid temples connected heaven and earth.
4. Cuneiform- The Sumerians are credited with this invention and it is one of the earliest systems of writing Ancient sumerian stone carving with cuneiform scripting
5. One of the unique characteristics of Assyrian art is their relief carvings. They created elaborate relief carvings in stone which exhibited very extensive detail. The carvings often held images of battles and major events of war. These carvings also held depictions of the violent results of battle. This may even be the earliest form of narrative art, or art that tells a story.

7. Ishtar Gate-was the eighth gate to the inner city of Babylon. It was constructed in about 575 BCE by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II on the north side of the city. 8. Persian art or Iranian art (Persian: هنر ایرانی) has one of the richest art heritages in world history and it encompasses many discipline like  architecture, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking and sculpture. Persian art gave and received major influences as part of the wider styles of Islamic art.  Persian rug weaving is embedded in the roots of their culture and customs.
