1. Advert game proposal
I want the game to be pretty simple, I’m going to go with a
more retro style with this, and I want it to look like the game
was made in the early eighties. It will follow a character who
works for the coke brand and has to go out and collect all the
coke bottles that they have lost. The first level will be very
reminiscent of classic games, the objective will be clear from
the minute the game is looked at. The coke bottle will be
right in front of the main character, who is very acrobatic he
will jump all around the screen, which would normally be
fun to play. The pallet of the level will be a simple brown
coloured floor with a simple blue sky with clouds and the
sun always beaming over the level.
So, the only objective in the first level will be to get the coke
bottle, and nothing else. I don’t want to put any enemies to
fight right on the first level just because I would want people
to get used to how the game will look first.
When he gets the coke, I will add a yellow glowing portal to
the end of the level, not only will it be the way to progress on
to the next level but I think it will add a good amount of
colour to the levels. There won’t be a user interface at any
point because the levels are not timed and there is only one
collectable, and the character can only take one hit,
so there is no point in a UI since there is nothing to actually
keep track of.
