Grid, Northwest China Grid, and China Southern Power Grid that covers over 514,000 kms 110KV power lines indicates
Chinese power grid is increasingly expanding. The expansion brings a rising workload on power line inspection.
Traditional man-made power line inspection for 100kms requires 20 inspectors to work in one day, which is becoming
difficultto meetthe general inspection demands for modern power lines system.

The faults which the 30X zoom camera can investigate
Basic faults: the protective cap of the tower root is buried, the filling earth is removed or sinking, the groove of the
protective slope is broken,etc..
Tower pole faults: material lost,screw loose,serial number lost,bird nest,ice covering, tower collapse
Wireway faults: wire distortion and strand broken, wire is burned by the fault current, the spacer bar between the
strapping rings is broken or with foreign substance,etc..
Overhead ground wire faults:strand broken, abrasion,thunder strike,foreign substance,etc..
3. Insulator faults: current burning, fouling, self destruct, mandrel exposed, heating caused by
moisture, abnormal discharge,low or zero electric scale,etc..
Passageway faults: quarry in the way, high trees, building construction and other dangerous factors; metal items
problems such as defect, distortion, displacement of clamp and shock proof hammer; ground items problems such as
discharging burning,ground wire exposed,boltloosening,etc..
